2 Much 2 Lose (2M2L) Training provides an in-depth look at environmental* prevention strategies for reducing underage drinking.  It offers specialized instruction for both law enforcement agencies and community members. The training spans two days and covers the following topics:

  • The impact of underage drinking on Oklahoma

  • The need for environmental strategies

  • Oklahoma’s alcohol laws

  • Media advocacy

  • Model policies, including Oklahoma’s new social host law

  • Identifying fake and altered IDs

  • Alcohol Compliance Checks

  • Party Dispersal

 

Training on the latter two topics includes two hands-on practica.

 

Participants earn 17.25 hours credit, recognized by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) and by the Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol Professional Counselor Association (ODAPCA) for its Certified Prevention Specialist designation.  The training meets at least 2 hours of the CLEET requirement for continuing education on recognizing and handling the mentally ill.

Although Wichita Mountains Prevention Network conducts 2M2L Training by request only, it is coordinated by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.  If you would like to request training, contact your local Regional Prevention Coordinator at wmpnwebsite@gmail.com
