What is Teen Con?
TeenCon is an annual conference for all Jefferson County 6th and 9th graders that seeks to empower students with the tools they need to make smart choices that protect their mental, behavioral and physical health. The youth will enjoy a full day of workshops and fun activities that are selected to build confidence, accountability, responsibility and self-esteem.
2024 Teen Con
Save the date for the third annual TeenCon to be held in Waurika on October 9, 2024. The theme of this year’s meeting is “My Mind Matters.” The focus will be on brain development with an emphasis on the mind/body connection and how youth can protect themselves. Some other workshop topics include Self-Care, Mental Health Wellness, Substance Use Prevention, Relationship Skills, Creative Art, Dance and Lawn Games.
Sponsorships & Donations:
Although WMPN receives state funding for supplies, state funds cannot be used for the purchase of Tshirts, lunch, snacks, door prizes or a swag bag, so additional funding is needed. In addition to financial donations, volunteers are needed to help at the event, as well as offer in-kind donations.
The Sponsorship Form details five levels of giving: Bronze ($25), Silver ($50), Gold ($100), Ruby ($250) or Sapphire ($500). $100+ donors will have their company logo on the back of the TeenCon Tshirt. September 10th is the deadline
“A donation to TeenCon is a great way to invest in the future of Jefferson County youth,” added Suzy Bruner, Jefferson County Coordinator
